AGES RANGES/GENRES: Adult, NA, Crossover
Fantasy, Science Fiction, Speculative, Historical, Literary with Speculative Elements
I’m drawn to adult fantasy fiction with intricate world building, political intrigue, and characters that really inhabit the space they’re in. I love a secondary world, but I read pretty broadly across SF&F, so I’m absolutely open to more contemporary settings, as well as near and far future science fiction. While fantasy is my main focus as a writer and reader, I’m also interested in historical fiction and literary leaning speculative works.
While I enjoy romance as an element of a story, I’m probably not the right mentor for stories where romance is the primary plot. Additionally, while I do believe that execution is key when including any sensitive subject matter, I’m unlikely to be the right person for cancer/terminal illness plot lines—elements or mentions of this in the background are likely fine, and I like works that grapple with loss.
