BIO

Brigitta Blair (she/they) is an author-illustrator of books that explore disability, physical impairment, and identity. In college, she studied book design in rural Japan before finishing up her BA in Washington, DC. Cramming, her debut middle grade graphic novel about her experiences with scoliosis, comes out in 2027 with Little Brown. She also created the Scrivener Standard Comic Script template and speaks (and geeks) on panels about creating author websites, Clip Studio Paint, and graphic novels at SCBWI conferences, the Children's Book Academy, and Kids Comics Unite. Outside of publishing, she works in the video game industry and loves nerding out about manga and tea.

She's currently represented by the fabulous Chelsea Eberly of Folio Literary and can be found on Substack and Instagram @BrigittaBlair.

I’m interested in:

Brigitta is excited to uplift marginalized authors, illustrators, and author-illustrators that want to break into graphic novels or GN hybrids (Middle Grade to Young Adult). She's also open to illustrators and author-illustrators who are interested in building a picture book dummy or website portfolio instead of working on a book.
