BIO
Christie Curry spends her days as a data analyst and her nights writing rom coms, dreaming up characters to bring to life (and hilarious ways to torment them). She has a master’s degree in public health and taught human sexuality for several years, lending her a wealth of inspiration and amusing anecdotes for her novels. She was a 2023 mentee of the Write Hive Mentorship program, and her flash fiction piece, “Here Comes the Sun,” was published in Full Mood Mag. A southern California native, she currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and a tiny dictator masquerading as a tuxedo cat. She is represented by Morgan Hughes of FinePrint Literary Management.
Christie’s debut novel, LOVE BETWEEN THE LECTURES, will be released in Fall 2026 from Alcove Press.

MSWL
While I have a particular soft spot for hilarious rom coms and twisty suspense/thrillers, the main things that draw me into a story are strong voice and deep, immersive POV, regardless of genre or age group. Those two factors are what make a book unputdownable for me.
Adult Romance, Rom Coms, Women’s Fiction, and Contemporary
My bread and butter is adult rom com—the dryer or darker the humor, the better. I yearn for books that can make me laugh, and if you can make me cackle, I’ll be turning pages well into the night. A few of my favorites are The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle, and Love Sick by Deidra Duncan. I also really love books that toe the line between romance/rom com and women’s fiction, with protagonists who have rich character arcs. I’m open to all levels of spice, from closed-door to high-heat. While I love rom coms, I’m not the best fit for gut-wrenching angsty books in romance or women’s fiction, or women’s fiction if the book doesn’t have an HEA.
Thriller
Thrillers are my guilty pleasure reads. I love a book that can make me hold my breath through intense scenes, and I love to be surprised by unpredictable twists and unreliable narrators. A few of my favorites are Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix.
