J.D. Myall is the co-chair of Drexel University's MFA Alumni Association and a publishing and library professional. She hosts the Craft Chat Chronicles podcast, where she interviews authors and industry insiders. Her work has appeared in Ms. Magazine, Writer’s Digest, and HuffPost. Heart’s Gambit is her debut novel. I’m drawn to YA and adult fiction with cinematic prose, emotional depth, and a strong sense of atmosphere. I love dark academia, romantasy, supernatural horror, and fantasy rooted in culture, history, or legacy. I’m especially interested in stories by marginalized voices exploring identity, power, and transformation. Above all, I’m looking for worlds that feel alive and characters who linger long after the last page.
