If it’s weird and freaky, I probably want it.

I’d love to see horror of all kinds - gothic, psychological, body, slasher, any! Send in your folklore and scary stories your family told around the campfire. Anything horror-adjacent and genre blends are welcome: horror/fantasy, dark fantasy, horror/thriller, horror/romance, etc.

I'm also looking for fantasy and anything speculative. My reading tastes are super broad, so anything's fair game! I'd especially love to see speculative upmarket and literary fiction, and I'm always thrilled to see work that doesn't quite fit into one genre box!

I'm happy to work with authors seeking either traditional or self-publishing paths.

Some of my favorites:

  • Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

  • Ripe by Sarah Rose Etter

  • The Vegetarian by Han Kang

  • I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

  • Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer

  • Babel by RF Kuang

  • The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw

  • Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield

I'm not the right fit for:

  • Anything with on-page eating disorders

  • Young Adult, Middle Grade, Picture Books

  • Anything where the dog or cat dies

  • Love triangles (I'm so sorry!!)

  • AI generated work
