MSWL
I’m attracted to lush prose, unforgettable characters, and a fresh twist on a classic trope. I’m especially eager to see diverse stories with rich, underrepresented settings and concepts.
Elements I love in Horror:
I’d love to see a creative spin on a classic haunted house story (think The September House and How to Sell a Haunted House). If you blend weird horror with dark romance and a hot, broody hero, I’m sold.
Witches, magical worldbuilding, hot demons, ghosts, talking dolls, or any inventive spin on the genre. I don't shy away from splatterpunk. The wilder and more unique the premise, the better!
Subgenres of horror I’d love to read:
Analog Horror - Found-footage or any retro media style (VHS tapes, analog cameras)
Liminal Space- Think Backrooms and The Hollow Place by T. Kingfisher
Paranormal ghost stories
Gothic Horror - Give me isolated, decayed estates and curses.
Body Horror- (The Eyes Are the Best Part and Natural Beauty)
Horrormance - High-stakes romance paired with horror elements ala On Sundays She Picked Flowers,
Elements I love in Romance:
I’m a big fan of magical realism, time travel, and dual timelines, especially stories that make me laugh out loud in one chapter and swoon in the next.
Sorry, not sorry, but I’m a dark romance girly through and through. Give me morally questionable characters, banter, enemies-to-lovers dynamics, and forced proximity any day.
Smut, smut… did I say smut? High heat is very much encouraged!
Titles that I’ve enjoyed:
An Immaculate Deception
Muneca
Hex
I’ll Watch your Baby
Trad Wife
The Seven Year Slip
I’m not the best option for:
Fantasy
Dark Academia
Insta Love
Botanical, Religious or historical horror
